Meet the Owner
Hi! I'm Jessica!
Originally from Texas, I relocated to Roanoke after making my way through Dallas, Cincinnati and Philadelphia working in office management. My husband’s job moved us to this beautiful town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with and now call home with my family of four and two pets.
Not long after landing in Roanoke, Pet Pals was born. I went into this business because I love animals and love to travel — but didn’t love the stress of leaving my pets behind.
I started Pet Pals as a one-woman show. After having kids, I realized I needed a reliable team to balance family life with running a thriving business. Today, I’m proud to say I’d trust any member of my team to come to my home and take care of my pets while I’m away!
In 2025, we’re celebrating 22 years in business. While we’re thrilled with our success, we’re always striving to improve and set the standard as Roanoke’s premier dog walking and pet sitting company. We’d love to welcome you to our family!
Our values
COMFORT
We believe pets thrive when they’re in the comfort of their own home. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing them with the best care, right where they feel safest.
COMPASSION
As pet owners ourselves, we’re in this business because we truly care about animals. We’ll make sure your pals feel safe, happy and cared for!
COMMUNITY
We’re proud to be part of the Roanoke community and believe in giving back. For every Pet Pals service booked, we donate a meal to an animal in need.

“I've been using Pet Pals service for years!”
“I have been working with Pet Pals for years and have always been so happy with the service. I love that I can go out of town and feel 100% secure that my fur babies are safe, happy and taken care of. The fact that they send pictures and updates multiple times a day also gives me visual and written confirmation that all is well at home. Highly recommend.”
